STAGE MUSIC
The CHOIR is a symbolic representation of the divine emanation, the heavenly symphony, the music of the spheres, then Archibishop Becket, the ORGAN spreads divine Word, mission of the Church.
The PERCUSSIONS show the feelings of the whole mankind; at last the WOODS with their sibilant sonority create a parallelism between the Four Temptations and the biblical snake.
The music is original, an elaboration of three Gregorian themes: Dies irae, sequentia mortuorum, is related to the murder of Becket, and two themes by Hildegard von Bingen (1098-1179), contemporary to the set of the play.
She was a nun, a healer, a poetess and a musician.
