The origin of the Dome is mysterious.

The structure and the floor create a magic atmosphere.

At the entrance an inscription reminds to enter with a reverent attitude (Castissimum virginis templum caste memento ingredi).

The first central quadrant rapresents Ermete Trismegisto, alchemy father, while teaching to the Egyptians.

The aisles are occupied by ten quadrants showing ten sybils (made from 1482 to 1483) with their inscriptions.

These inscriptions are the lyrics of The Sybils Song.
